Question about formatting offsite links

Is the current format of entries the 'Standard' for this page? ie. The entry for "GunCad Digest" shows a link to a non-existent page (is it to be created?) and then the URL for the digest itself in parentheses. Is the traditional mediawiki URL entry not to be used? Before I go making any changes willy-nilly, want to ensure we're all working towards the same goal. Zotter (talk)

Redlinking is both fine and encouraged -- it adds to Special:WantedPages which is a core Mediawiki feature. As for the article + offsite link combo, I'm not really too picky about the formatting style -
[[Example]] ([https://example.com])
- I just figured this particular style is the quickest way to present a reader with the option of a potentially in-depth article *and* a quick link to whatever resource we're talking about. Theshittinator (talk) 22:32, 18 January 2026 (CST)
